Currently in the early framing stages, this custom residence in Oakland Park is being thoughtfully designed as a contemporary interpretation of an Italian villa. Inspired by the homeowners’ deep family roots in Italy, the home is intended to capture the warmth, romance, and enduring character of traditional Italian architecture while embracing a more refined, modern aesthetic.

The architectural vision centers around timeless materials and thoughtfully layered details. Rustic wood ceiling beams, hand-applied plaster finishes, and terra-cotta accents will introduce texture and authenticity throughout the home, creating spaces that feel both collected and inviting. A series of graceful arches, custom display niches, and a dramatic 24-foot fireplace wall will become defining architectural moments, reinforcing the home’s sense of craftsmanship and permanence.

The kitchen, now taking shape, will serve as the heart of the home. Vaulted ceilings with exposed timber beams, natural stone, custom cabinetry, and striking steel windows will balance old-world character with clean, contemporary lines. Every element has been carefully considered to honor the family’s Italian heritage while creating a home that feels sophisticated, livable, and uniquely their own.
