Completed Project

The Lily Pad Studio

Designed for two best friends, actresses, and content creators, Lily Pad is a creative studio in the heart of College Park where work and community seamlessly intersect. Conceived as a multifunctional destination for podcasting, filming, Bible study, and collaboration, the space was designed to feel as inspiring as the work created within it.

The interiors strike a balance between feminine sophistication and playful glamour. A palette of blush pinks, warm corals, rich black, and brushed gold creates a bold yet welcoming atmosphere, while woven rattan and natural textures soften the space with warmth and depth. Throughout the studio, custom artwork and personalized details celebrate the individuality of its owners, giving the interiors a sense of authenticity and character.

Although modest in size, the commercial space was thoughtfully reconfigured to maximize both function and flow. Separate zones for filming, podcast recording, and client meetings create distinct experiences within a compact footprint, while an inviting entry with a kitchenette and waiting area welcomes guests from the moment they arrive.

The project presented its own architectural challenges, including low ceilings that required a thoughtful design approach. Rather than competing with the space, the design embraces it—drawing the eye through layered textures, custom artwork, and refined brass accents, from decorative hardware to floor-to-ceiling drapery, creating a sense of height and elegance.

Today, Lily Pad is more than a studio; it is a creative home. Equal parts workspace and sanctuary, it reflects the personalities of its founders while providing a beautiful backdrop for storytelling, meaningful conversation, and the creative process itself.
